The Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures is the second largest Department in the Ministry of Magic. It is divided into three divisions named after the three categorizations of magical creatures: Being, Beast and Spirit. It also houses the liaison offices for Goblins and Centaurs.

The Department of International Magical Cooperation is a division of the Ministry of Magic which, as its name suggests, tries to get wizards from different countries to cooperate. The British seats on the International Confederation of Wizards are based here, as are offices that regulate international magical law.

No New Posts Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes

The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes is responsible for repairing accidental magical damage. Cornelius Fudge was once Junior Minister of this department prior to his promotion to Minister for Magic. It is located on the third level of the Ministry of Magic and houses the following offices: Accidental Magic Reversal Squad, Obliviator Headquarters, and Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee.

The Department of Magical Games and Sports is a department of the Ministry of Magic. It is charged with the regulation of all sport-related events in the Wizarding world.

This department was formed in response to the signing of the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy in 1692, when each individual Ministry became responsible for the consequences of all magical sports played within their countries. The current affairs of the department have to do with such sport-related pastimes as organizing the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament.

The department has a casual atmosphere at the Ministry, with Quidditch posters all over its walls.

No New Posts Department of Magical Law Enforcement

The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is the largest department at the Ministry of Magic. Arguably the most important of the various departments, it is a combination of police and justice facilities, and is roughly the equivalent to the Home Office of Muggle Britain or the Department of Justice in the United States. All other departments are answerable to this one, with the exception of the Department of Mysteries.

The Department of Magical Transportation is responsible for various aspects of magical transport. Madam Edgecombe was an employee of this department.

It is located on the sixth level of the Ministry of Magic and includes the following offices: Floo Network Authority, Broom Regulatory Control, Portkey Office, and Apparition Test Centre.

No New Posts Department of Mysteries

The Department of Mysteries is a section of the Ministry of Magic that carries out confidential research. Most of its operations are carried out in total secrecy. Few wizards within the Ministry actually know what is located within this department. Those wizards who work in the Department of Mysteries are known as Unspeakables because of the confidential nature of their work.

The Magical Maintenance Department was a division of the Ministry of Magic. Members of this Department were the custodians of the Ministry. They were responsible for maintaining the upkeep of the Ministry, including deciding what weather to display through the Ministry's enchanted windows and repairing magic gone wrong within the premises of the Ministry, such as rain inside an office. The personnel working in the Magical Maintenance wore navy blue robes.

Ministry of Magic
The Ministry of Magic (M.o.M.) is the governing body for the magical community of Great Britain, and US. The Ministry connects the British and US governments to the wizarding world. Its headquarters are in Whitehall, in central London, deep underground (with a sub-headquarters in NYC that answers to the M.o.M. in Great Britain). It is headed by the Minister for Magic. The current Minister in Britain is Kingsley Shacklebolt. It is known that other countries have their own Ministries of Magic, such as Norway, Germany, etc.
